âSometimes the most productive thing you can do for yourself is rest.â
Do you thrive on being âbusyâ? Or always having the next thing to look forward to or work towards? Whilst I honestly believe it is so important to stay motivated and work hard to achieve your goals, this can sometimes manifest into a mindset that resting, or taking time to do nothing, is lazy, unproductive or even something that has to be âearntâ.
But I am here to tell you that rest is essential. It is productive. And it is not a reward. You deserve rest and you are worthy of it, so please angels, donât ever feel guilty for taking time for you.
I allow myself time to rest whenever I need to. Resting allows my mind to let go of any resistance, and open up to new possibilities. It gives me space to wonder, take my time, create, explore and just be me.Â
Everyone switches off and finds peace in different ways. The important thing is checking in with yourself and dedicating time whenever you need to. Maybe this means...
To all my southern hemisphere angels, Summer is coming! Things are heating up here in Australia, and I am so excited to spend weekends at the beach, warm nights out in Byron and eating copious amounts of mango.Â
Â
Summer means warm weather, long days and lots of celebrating. So, to keep you feeling healthy and happy for the approaching season, here are some of my favourite tips:
Â
1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate
You already know what Iâm about to sayâŚ. drink. your. water. Staying hydrated is so important for your body, skin & digestion, especially in Summer when temperatures are hot.
2. Nourish your body with healthy food
Think fresh salads, smoothie bowls using seasonal fruit and wholesome breakfasts to start your day right. I love going to the farmerâs markets and picking up whatever fruit and veg is in season, plus it means youâre supporting local. If youâre lacking inspo, check out our Hustl Health recipes here.
3. Wake up and move your body
Dedicate some time in the morning ...
How often do we find ourselves comparing our lives to others, especially in the age of social media where all we see is the highlight reel of everyoneâs lives?
While it can be a motivating tool, more often than not this constant comparison can be toxic and lead to feeling deflated, inadequate and worthless. It can sometimes get hard to not feel like a failure when youâre constantly being forced to see and compare your life and achievements to those around you.
Trust me when I say it happens to all of us - even those who you look at and think âwow, their life is perfect''. But the truth is you never know what someone is dealing with, and everyone is always dealing with something. All we can control is how we respond to it, and work to make it easier on ourselves.Â
Here are some ways I have found help to combat these feelings when you get down on yourself:
Weâve just wrapped up the 21 day Total Body Tone Challenge, and wow am I proud of everyone! Whilst itâs important to give our bodies a break and rest after working so hard for 3 weeks, the good habits weâve developed can sometimes slip away as fast as they came.
Being and feeling like your best self means showing up every day, challenge or no challenge. I know it gets hard, and our busy lifestyles arenât always conducive to putting our health and fitness first, so I wanted to share five of my favourite ways to create a healthy and maintainable routine to enjoy every day.
I live about fifteen minutes from Byron Bay and forty-five minutes from Gold Coastâs south. This puts me right in the heart of some of, in my opinion, the most beautiful spas and salons to treat yourself to the ultimate self-care.
As someone who lives an erratic schedule that changes week on week, I rely so much on a list of places where I can retreat for some time-out.
Here are a handful of my go-to spots for self-care:
1. Little Company, Byron Bay.
Anywhere with a holistic, simple approach to skin care gets an immediate tick in my book. And Little Company just nails it, forever my go-to for facials in Byron Bay. Similarly to Hustl, LTCO categorises their treatments under two styles Ritual and Remedy â one is comprehensive and deeply nourishing, and the other is focused on renewing more than your skin, itâs about soundscapes, scents and lighting. Truly an incredible experience, highly recommend.
2. Comma, Byron Bay.
Located two doors down from our Byron Bay studio is this little slice o...
If you know me, you know that I practically live in activewear all day everyday. In fact, you can go right ahead and write down in my will that I wish to be buried in my Nike Metcons.
I get asked a lot about where I like to shop for my sports apparel. I tend to go for specific pieces that are versatile so that I can pair back with the other 99% of my daily wardrobe, styling it more âathleisureâ.
For everything top to bottom, I make a b-line for Nike. In my opinion, they are the best in the biz especially for sports footwear and oversized menâs hoodies. Nike is OG and will forever have my heart.
The queens of neutrals. Think Yeezy colour palette, but sleek design. I am a forever fan girl of this luxe brand and their ability to keep me coming back for more of the same bike shorts and training bras just in a slightly different shade of nude.
Stylish and practical. Muscle Republic just knows their stuff when it comes to activewear. Forever respondin

Being a âyesâ person to everyone else really isnât as satisfying as it used to be. Naturally as humans we want to go with the grain, it takes more energy and more effort to say no to something we donât want to do. Which is bizarre. If saying no to someone or something is going to bring us closer to our authentic selves, then letâs start doing more of that please.Â
Â
Hereâs how weâre doubling down on asserting our needs while respecting the feelings of others and most importantly ourselves.
I came across a quote last week that got me thinking. The quote read âif the version of you from 5 years ago could see you right now, they would be so proud â keep goingâ. It is a natural human trait to constantly seek the ânext thingâ, whether it be a work goal, a new PB in the gym, finding your dream home or meeting your soul mate. There is nothing wrong with that at all, goal setting is a driving force that inspires many of us. Though, in the time we spend seeking, we really should be celebrating. Celebrating where we are in the present moment, because we are all a constant work in progress and the journey is plays the biggest part in the success. Thatâs where the real magic lives and it deserves to be revelled in. This quote brought me back to a version of myself from five years ago, to the point where I jotted down 5 things that I wish I could tell my younger self. That scared, anxiety riddled soul that was fuelled with crippling self-doubt self that really needed to hear these 5 ...
Itâs spring time in Australia & as much as I love winter time I canât help by feel all warm & fuzzy inside when I feel the air change & can smell new buds blooming (allergies please donât come for me this season). Spring is a time for new beginnings, fresh starts & gearing up for the summer ahead. Now is the best time to refresh your diet. And no, Iâm not referring to your daily food intake. Your diet is so much more than what you eat. Itâs what you watch, what you listen to & the people you let into your life. A new season calls for an opportunity to revamp the content we allow ourselves to absorb.
So, without further a do, here are my top 5 âdietâ tips for Spring:Â
Nothing gets me more excited than new music. I love creating a new playlist on a Sunday night, especially before a big week begins, so that I look forward to listening to it as soon as I wake up. Itâs literally like Christmas for me. Right now Iâm listening to:

Who the fuck am I?
Okay, picture this. One year I am on paid leave from a kick-ass nursing career. Iâm on this sailboat, in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. My suitcase is comprised of size small bikinis and my daily exercise included dancing on bars throughout Europe. My biggest responsibility is trying to remember when happy hour started. The next, I just take this kid home from hospital (side note, is it not wild you need a licence to buy a TURTLE!! But you just take your newborn home like an ice cream from the store, sorry what?). I confine myself to the four dark walls of my bedroom attempting to catch some mythical human right, sleep. I am on paid leave, but my new boss is a mini power-hungry jerk who dictates my every move and is constantly angry with me, I really should report him to fair work because I rarely get a break, sometimes not even a shower. You know those size small bikinis mentioned earlier? yeah, those are swapped out for large adult diapers that cost mor...
