What is it and why should I be doing it?
If you keep up to date with wellness trends, you may have seen the concept of dry body brushing sweeping the internet as of late, but for those that arenât across this tool & technique, we are here to give you the low down on why it is so popular.

  MORNING MEDITATION
Start your day with self love, a chance to focus on you and you only. It will allow you to feel calm, centred and clear minded.
The festive season is here and for many of us that can mean busy social calendars, bottomless bubbles, decadent desserts and plenty of delicious food. The step away from routine and the increased intake of festive foods can be daunting for many and food guilt can result in feelings of stress and anxiety.
So I wanted to take a moment to remind you that it is important to acknowledge that the holiday season is a time to enjoy with your friends & family, so if you overindulge in chocolate or donât have the time or energy to exercise, that is more than ok. That is just life. Good health comes from consistency and what you do MOST of the time - not all of the time, so an extra serving of dessert on Christmas day or a few drinks on New Years Eve, should be enjoyed for what they are, without feelings of regret.
Our goal at HUSTL is to always encourage balance, and this time of year is absolutely no exception.Â
If you struggle with navigating your way through the festive season, I have shar...
My darlings, it is here. The busy festive season is upon us and I can feel myself needing a break already. In all seriousness, I love this time of year as there is nothing quite like being able to spend time with family, eating lots of delicious foods and to celebrate the end of another amazing year with staff Christmas parties & events.
However it is without a doubt that this time of year can often get a little crazy so it is more important than ever to ensure you are taking some time out for yourself to recharge your batteries.
I have created a list of a few of my favourite self care rituals that are perfect for when you are time poor. These simple but effective tools will help guide you through the Christmas period feeling calm, balanced and rejuvenated.
Enjoy.

Move your body.Â
Keep it simple, find a form of movement you enjoy and squeeze in what you can. Whether that is a 10 minute blaster, a stretch class or a 20 minute walk outside. Donât overthink it, just ...
Firstly I would like to acknowledge that not everyone is training to achieve results. For many, exercise is simply a part of your weekly routine because you enjoy it, it leaves you feeling incredible and it can be a great way to relieve stress and boost your energy levels.
However if you are exercising with specific goals in mind, it can be frustrating when you are putting in the work; training hard and eating well, to find yourself making no progress and unable to see any changes.
I have broken down some common factors that may be getting in the way of the results you are striving for, but I will also note - it is so important to ensure your goals are realistic and attainable for you. If you are trying to be too ambitious or have to go to extreme lengths, you probably need to re-evaluate your expectations. We are all about creating balanced, healthy and maintainable relationships with exercise and food, not just quick fixes!
1. Are you getting enough sleep?
I have said it be...
You have just powered through a fitness challenge, completing back to back workouts, gained muscle strength & achieved amazing results. Now what? I hear you ask angels.Â
Rest & recovery is an essential part of working out, so I have broken down my top tips to ensure you are properly recovering your muscles and giving your body a healthy dose of TLC, post challenge.
Sleep and sleep some more.
We should all be aiming for 7-8 hours sleep a night regardless, but post challenge nothing gives your body the chance to rest, recuperate and switch off, quite like a decent night's sleep. So get an early night and have an extra long lie in, because you deserve it darlings.
Refuel with the right foods.
It may be tempting to treat yourself after weeks of intense exercise, and donât get me wrong, we are all about balance here, so eat the ice cream if you want the ice cream. But when you can, aim to fuel your body with plenty of protein rich snacks, and balanced, nourishing meals. If yo...
Winter is officially here this week, and while I will admit Iâm a little bit excited to get my warm clothes out, I am not excited at the thought of getting a cold with the change of weather. As temps drop we are more susceptible to becoming run down, so it is an important time to focus on our health and look after our bodies. Keep reading for 5 ways to naturally boost your immunity and stay healthy this Winter!

Picture this, your alarm goes off early in the morning, you feel the cold Winter air on your face, itâs still dark outside, youâre cozy and warm in bed, and so instead of getting up to HUSTL, you roll over and press snooze.
Weâre all guilty of losing motivation and skipping out on a workout when the cold weather hits. But when one missed workout turns into a 4, and a week turns into three, we can start to feel a bit blah!
So for all my southern hemisphere girls going into Winter, here are my top tips to stay motivated in the cooler months.
Iâm not quite sure how we are already in the middle of April, but nevertheless, 2022 is without a doubt in full swing! As we are three months down, with nine to go, this is such a great time to check in with yourself to review the goals you set at the start of the year, and reset focus for the months to come.Â
Whilst goal setting isnât for everyone, it really does help to give yourself direction for the days or weeks ahead, in whatever areas of your life are most important. And it's not too late to start! If you havenât yet set goals for 2022, now is the time, donât let another three months pass. Your focus may be something simple, a starting point to put a new habit in place, or something bigger to work towards a major goal.Â
If youâre not too sure where to start, or need a little guidance on how to reflect, I have listed my go-to questions below. I encourage you to to sit down in a relaxing and quiet space, put pen to paper, and ask yourself these questions:
We all know that how the saying goes, âwin the morning, you win the day.â Sometimes, your body just says no â and thatâs okay. If itâs more of a resistance youâre feeling due to lack of motivation rather than exhaustion, you may just need more structure to kickstart your daily routine. I have listed down 5 things I find myself doing in the mornings. I know what youâre thinking, âyou do all of these things before breakfast?â â my answer, GOD no. Trust me, I am the first person to tell you to listen to your body and rest when you can â but I also thrive off an accomplished morning, it sets the tone for the day. So, if youâre needing some ideas on how to spend your morning productively, read on angel.Â
Â
Plan ahead.
Book yourself into that early morning class, lay out your activewear on your bedroom floor and place your phone a little further away than your head so itâs not easy to hit the snooze. I find that nothing holds me more accountable in the morning than pre-planning my wor...
